Loukman Ali Snags ‘Best Cinematographer’ & ‘Best Director’ Awards at this Year’s AMVCAs

For the movie 'Brotherhood'

Huge congratulations are in order for Ugandan Film Maker Loukman Ali who continues to make the motherland proud with his filmmaking prowess. Loukman emerged as the only Ugandan to take home an award or should we say ‘awards’ at this year’s AMVCAs, and Uganda couldn’t be any prouder. The 9th edition of the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards ceremony, which were held on Saturday night, honored some of the finest talent African film, which included Uganda’s very own, Loukman Ali.

The event, often referred to as Africa’s most prestigious film award ceremony, was held at Eko Hotel and Suites, with media presenter Ik Osakioduwa and South African beauty queen Zozibini Tunzi serving as hosts.

Loukman snagged two awards for the movie ‘Brotherhood‘, Best Cinematographer, and Best Director, and even though he wasn’t in attendance at last night’s event, fellow filmmaker and producer Mathew Nabwiso received the awards on his behalf.
