Looks Like Savage x Fenty Is Snatching Victoria’s Secret Spot
Rihanna is not afraid to push boundaries, whether it is with her music, her makeup or her lingerie. Last night at NYFW she showcased the new collection of the Savage x Fenty clothing in a show that blew up the Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Center, leaving Victoria’s Secret executives shaking in their boots.
Usually where we would be posting up all the photos from the show, well, Riri had other ideas. No one was allowed in the show with a phone, so very little about the show came out. What we do know, however, is that come 20th September the show is going to air exclusively on Amazon’s Prime Video, which is shot #1 at Victoria’s Secret. A televised show about lingerie? Who wouldn’t wanna? There was also a lineup of artists that kept the mood up and jumping. The likes of DJ Khaled, the Migos, Halsey and A$AP Ferg among others were there to provide the vibe while the models came down. Sounds familiar? Well let’s talk about the models now. Remember the beginning of the end of Victoria’s Secret was refusing to make space for more diverse models, while on this side Laverne Cox, a transgender actor strutted down the runway in a sea of immensely diverse models. Every shape and colour accounted for. That sounds like the final blow to me.
Already fans of the brand and the brains behind it are waiting patiently for the airing of the show…I mean if you have waited for music all year in vain, at least a fashion show can keep the #RihannaNavy in check for a bit. We might not be hearing new music any time soon if we get out of this state of denial.
The collection was made for literally every woman, with sizes ranging from the tiniest bra size 32A to the heavier 42H and sleepwear from XS to 3X, and all the clothing is available on Amazon.
