“The need for authentic beauty products is what motivated me to open this beauty store,” Mugoya explains. “Everyone was complaining. We can’t just have one Mac store in Kampala and that’s it. We needed a platform that would offer a wide range of the products anywhere anytime.”
After crunching her numbers and doing her research, she got on a plane to Italy, US, Kenya and Nigeria picking out products that she would actually use.
“I wanted to offer women something I’ve tried myself. A product I can recommend because I’ve tried it on my skin and the results were amazing,” she explains.
All products in stock on Sensation Uganda are sold exactly the way they leave the distributors.
In stock is the very popular Dudu Osun from Nigeria which retails at 25,000 UGX, Nouba Millebaci lipstick at 90,000 UGX, Fenty Beauty’s Fenty Glow at 100k UGX and more. Other popular brands include Huddah Cosmetics, Colour Pop, Maybelline and Wet n’ Wild.

“Other popular brands like Zaron Cosmetics from Nigeria are coming soon,” Mugoya promises.
The Ugandan consumer is very slow on e-commerce, and that’s something Mugoya and her team are very aware about.
“What we offer is a wide range of world renowned brands, suited for Ugandan women and tried and tested before put on sale,” she explains. “We also have really good prices and offer convenience, you order now, you receive it in 2 hours all around Kampala.”
For now, their offering is makeup, but the long term goal is to get into skin care and hair care.
