Lillian proved to Africa that she’s one of the most talented singers on the continent last weekend. The former member of the all girl group Blu3 had all of us dancing in our living rooms as she sang Danger, one of her big songs. I have to admit I didn’t like the song too much then when it was released but this live version made me think again. It was captivating.
Paired with a full band the star made a mark on Africa’s music scene. I guess she’s finally getting closer to realizing her dream. In an interview with Flavia Tumusiime on Reserved last month, she opened up that her dream was to do a duet with Mi Casa or Liquideep. This she did was worth a collaboration with the South African stars. We want some one to represent Uganda on the African stage.
On stage dancing
The singer wore a red corset top with matching pants. She paired this with gold jewelry and red lip stick. Not anyone can pull off this all red look but she did. I still want to see her with long again (please Lillian: just for me) but this short hair is doing her justice. The best part is when her back up singers joined her on stage to do some dancing. It was the highlight of the performance.
Coke Studio Africa airs on NTV on Saturday at 7:30 pm, make sure you watch African stars as they take the stage. If you missed Lillian’s performance or just want to watch her dance, here is the video.
