Achieng Agutu, a Kenyan New York City-based content creator took Sports Illustrated’s Swimwear Week; first as a model on the runway, and later on the red carpet. The 26-year-old model, who has built her platform around encouraging women to have unwavering confidence and challenge unrealistic beauty standards, practiced exactly what she preaches wearing her confidence on her sleeve all through.

Agutu is one of Sports Illustrated’s Swim Search finalists this year, a major milestone for the self-proclaimed “education baddie”, who hails from Kisumu, Kenya.
