Abbas Kaijuka has always had a special relationship with Kigali, it’s quite a surprise that he has never graced the country’s biggest runway show. The 2022 edition of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Kigali is slated to hold from May 16th to 21st, and Kaijuka’s Kai’s Divo Collection will headline the event.
The Ugandan designer, renowned for his ‘out-of-the-box’ approach to design, will present his latest collection. According to insiders close to him, the collection campaign is getting shot today by a top fashion photographer.
Other designers set to showcase during the four-day-event include Lilly Alfonso, Arshia Wilson, Izubaa, Bushai Weave, Zulera Couture and Fathia Creation among others.
