“I Never Forget My Roots” – Patricia Akello

Joram Model Management‘s Youtube show ‘The Star Maker’ made its debut with supermodel Patricia Akello as their first guest. The model, who is now based in New York, opened up about her tumultuous start in Cape Town before moving to Europe. At some point she was heavily indebted. “I was not seeing any money yet I had lots of bills to pay,” she recalls. Joram Muzira, the host of show, quizzed her on how she dealt with all these challenges.

“I always ask God for His favour. I’m always patient. And also I’m hardworking. I’ve never forgotten where I come from. That helped me to keep pushing,” she shared. “Having my family support me. Having Joram here supporting me too. You really need someone to have your back no matter what, because the market is tough,” she continued.
