“I Have No Regrets,” Crystal Newman Tells Flair Magazine

Crystal Newman stars on the latest issue of Flair Magazine. The events MC and on-air personality talks to the magazine about her personal life, work and family.

She dishes on some of the hard decisions she has made like leaving radio and separating from her husband. She gives an intimate fragment of the things that she is thankful for in life, including her children, her YouTube channel and the opportunity to serve, concluding that she does not regret anything about her life, “I have no regrets, this is a new chapter, I still have many chapters to go.”

On leaving radio

“Working and being busy dominated her life, so much so that when she decided to leave Sanyu in August 2018, she had panicking thoughts – what am I going to do? What’s going to happen? Questions we all ask ourselves when we are moving on to another chapter of our lives. Having been so used to structure and timetables, she was scared, but her close circle of friends encouraged her”

On marriage

“We are separated at the moment. It was a very difficult decision to come to because of number one, society, the expectations of you. I used to hear from people all the time that I’m a perfect wife, but I’m not a perfect wife.”

On Her Children

“One of the biggest gifts I got after leaving structured employment is time with my children. I did not realize how much time I had lost until I left my job.”
