HRH Sylvia Nagginda, The Nabagereka in Sylvia Owori at The Kampala Premiere of Queen of Katwe

Her Royal Highness Sylvia Nagginda, the Nabagereka of Buganda, walks the red carpet at the Kampala premiere of Queen of Katwe alongside Hollywood royalty like Lupita Nyong’o, David Oyelowo and Mira Nair. 

The Queen of Buganda wore a pleated gown from renowned Ugandan designer Sylvia Owori. The red number featured a halter neckline which ended into a giant bow on her right shoulder.

Directed by Mira Nair, and starring Lupita Nyongo, David Oyelowo & Ugandan star Madina Nalwanga, Queen of Katwe is a story of an under-privileged girl who rises to success against the odds, with the medium of her rise being chess.
