How Sam Brought Heavy Traffic to a Halt on Entebbe Road to Propose to Hope!

By  |

So, you’re you’re stuck in traffic on Entebbe road, as you head to a meeting in Kansanga, and suddenly the traffic grinds to a halt because some romantic gentleman has blocked the road to propose to his girlfriend! The things people do for love!

Sams Kaggwa, a lecturer at UCU, chose to propose to Hope Kamatsiko, his girlfriend, a financial manager at Uplink Computer Solutions, in a memorable way setting tongues wagging on social media. Shutting down one of the busiest roads is no small feat, how did he pull it off?

“It was a carefully planned proposal,” he tells Satisfashion UG Weddings. “I had a great team guided by Lenz Media Production and my wedding committee headed by my Chairman.”
Sams’ idea to propose to his girlfriend this way was something he came up on his own before bringing in Lenz Media produce it. However, as much as it was put together without a hitch, his nerves were all over the place for valid reasons, of course.

“Honestly, it was a gamble,” he says. “My prayer was that the president doesn’t find me on road kneeling to propose. Considering that that spot rarely has traffic stops.”

Hope was estatic upon learning that their trip to have dinner had turned into a surprise proposal. It took her a while to digest it, but later said yes. And Sams’ dream came true!

Interestingly, their first meeting was not far from mundane. “We met at a restaurant,” Sams recounts. “It was love at first sight. Immediately I saw her, I knew she was the one. Although it wasn’t easy, I requested for her contact, which she later shared. And here we are now.”
