Ghanaian Brand Jermaine Bleu Debuts Fall/Winter 22 Collection
Jermaine Bleu, founded by Jason Jermaine Asiedu in 2015, is a contemporary ready to wear African brand which represents style and quality made in Ghana garments.
The Jermaine Bleu brand is a heritage brand for the bold, beautiful and intellectual. A brand that explores all levels of creativity, telling stories through modern day Africa, informed by the culture. Working with local artisans we create pieces that express the rich culture and stories of Africa to the world.
The Brand recently launched its fall/winter collection dubbed ‘Free’ and this is what the creative Director had to say:
I’ve come to learn that the journey of self-discovery is a never-ending one, just like change it’s one of the few constants in life and this time around the journey brings me closer to the world around me. For as long as I can remember I’ve always been enamoured by bodies of water. Along the coastlines of the Atlantic Ocean gazing out at the calmness and force the waves carry, I feel a sense of freedom, one that grounds me, breathes life into me and carry’s the vastness of everything life can be.
To be free, full of life and to lean into the abundance life has to offer leaves me feeling hopeful again about the world around me, it reminds me that even in the midst of uncertainty freedom is still something we can give ourselves even if it’s being at one with nature for a little while- Jason Jermaine Asiedu.
This season’s collection capture’s the essence of being Free and Alive. Working with our local artisans we’ve created prints inspired by ocean waves to depict fluidity, strength, calmness and power. With Green, Teal, Beige, Blue and Orange taking center stage in our A/W 22 collection the colour scheme is reminiscent of several elements in nature. Bold hues, breezy silhouettes, intricate details and cutouts set the tone for the sartorial mood the collection embodies.
