‘Alien Feelings’ is a stunning photo series exploring the power of those feelings that are too uncanny for us to communicate or interpret. Our bodies send signals, or messages communicating pain, sorrow, happiness, grief and more but only a handful of our peers are able to able to read and interpret them.
In the story, Ochieng’s team of models communicate different feelings, so alien that you can only tell what they are if you can read Amharic, an Ethiopian language.
“Reach out to people every so often, they are probably going through troubles you can’t read by just looking at them and imagining things. Do the same for yourself, open up whenever you’re going through stuff. No one will understand your pain until share,” Ochieng shared.
