From Client to Life Partner: Winnie and Enock!

The couple is set to tie the knot this month!

Our wedding story today is a pre-wedding shoot starring Winnie Namirembe, a businesswoman at Abaita Ababiri, Entebbe, and Enock Bugembe, a LIMS Administrator at MildMay Uganda.

Their story

We met on Boxing day of 2016! I was working as the branch Manager of a company I won’t mention. That morning, Enock called to ask about our services. I answered all his questions, but he went ahead to ask if we could meet, as he had been convinced to come on board as a client. I was at home doing laundry, but immediately he hangup, I changed my clothes and headed to the office.

Indeed, I found him outside our offices premises waiting for me. We greeted each other formally as I led him into the office. I introduced myself again, but I realized that his eyes were so fixed on me, which of course made me a bit uncomfortable. After discussing business, he shared with me his itinerary for the day. He also asked why I had been quick to get to work on a public holiday. I told him that I love making money. We then exchanged contacts since he had called me on my company number.

That same day, he called in and we chatted for like 2 hours. At that moment it was evident that he was interested in me.

Enock is a very straight man – he told me that he was searching for a wife, and according to him, I was the one! I also shared with him that I was no longer interested in playing games. I wasn’t looking for a boyfriend – girlfriend relationship. He asked me where I was staying, and I gave him directions to my sister’s home, where I was residing at the time.

That same evening, he was our guest at home, and we had so much fun with him. But as he was departing at around 11pm, it rained so heavily that he had to wait to leave. My sister’s husband asked him to sleep over, which he agreed to. At that point, I was sure that he was really in love with me. We shared a room but separate beds, and chatted till almost in the morning.

After a few months, he introduced me to his family and I was warmly welcomed. We discussed about what we wanted to do first; from officiating our relationship to child bearing or vice versa but we both preferred having kids first. We had our daughter and then in 2019, we agreed to visit our parents. In 2020 we began planning for our introduction and wedding but due to covid-19 lockdown, we postponed and managed to only hold the introduction in June 2020, and postponed our wedding to January 2021.

Pre-wedding shoot

When our photographer told us that we needed at least 3 attires for our pre-wedding shoot, Enock said we needed something unique outside our closet. His idea was the Roman Queen-King attire which I liked. We ordered for it online and within 2 weeks it was here. For the rest of the looks, we needed to be casually smart and sourced those attires from kampala. Our shoot was wow, and we expected to have good results from Wilber Photography, which happened.
