Fashion Revolution Expo Returns With Promise of Unique Experience at Beach Edition

This year’s edition of the Fashion Revolution Expo comes with a unique touch of style, considering the uniqueness in location and concept.

This first episode of the 3rd edition will be held on April 5, Easter Monday, at a beach. The show, because of Covid-19, will be held in a virtual setting. 

Launched in 2019, The Fashion Revolution Expo is a movement that supports, develops, promotes and establishes people in arts and fashion by giving them a platform, to reach global markets. In addition, the movement has been able to foresee the birth of several projects including: the first edition of the 2019 runway Expo, the second edition of the 2020 Runway Expo and the third edition in the 2020 launch of Duh-tah fashion house.

Vivianna Zoe Girl (founder/CEO) revealed that, “We are more than excited to host the first episode of the 3rd edition of the Fashion Revolution Expo. It is themed “The Garden of Eden” which is intended to foster extreme creativity and art, talent and skills among young, passionate and artistic designers”
She further mentioned that, “Fashion is among the industries that have shaped conversations not only in Uganda but world over, with fashion trends emerging every now and then, thus presenting a lucrative avenue for individuals to explore as the industry continues to mark it’s presence on the international scene,” Viviana added that, “However, meaningful partnerships need to manifest continuously if this realization is to be met.”

The event is set to be graced by renowned personalities from the fashion industry who will showcase their designs plus revellers will be treated to entertainment from sensational saxophonist, Joseph Sax.

Episode 1 of the 3rd edition of The Fashion Revolution Expo will comprise of a runway with extremely creative presentation, highlighting designers’ collections with inspiration drawn mostly from the ancient fashion, and the greenery environment from our country and the beauty of it, as well as youth and female empowerment.

Uganda’s fashion industry is one that has greatly evolved even that we can now compete globally and also take part in some of the prominent runways wild over with the global pandemic hitting the world, imports from Uganda’s largest business hubs like china and other trading regions were halted, which set a clear indication that we needed to harness the manufacture of locally made products, to meet the market demand, and that includes the clothes we wear, not forgetting other goods and services, Vivianna concluded.

The cause for this edition’s theme is to promote nature conservation and environmentalism.
Vivianna emphasizes that Covid-19 rules and guidelines are to be strictly observed during the entire virtual showcase.
