Backstory
So, Esther and I go to the same church and had been friends for a while. During the lockdown, our pastor started an online 3 am prayer altar for singles. When she learned about it she called and asked me to join.
It turned into a habit, after every prayer session she and I would have those very long conversations. We would laugh and chat for hours. This is when I noticed that I needed her kind of vibe in my life. Our friendship blossomed so fast because after the lockdown we were already going on dates. She became my go-to person and best friend.
Engagement
She’s such an introvert and wanted something simple and intimate. I took her out for a pre valentine’s dinner where I proposed. It was magical!
Planning the wedding
Considering the economy lately, we were a bit worried that people wouldn’t come through to support us, but they came through for us. Esther’s family had 2 introduction meetings and most of the coordination was done online. Service providers for the introduction were selected by her family. This made the whole experience of planning the events breezy.
We developed a friendship with each of our service providers. It was easy to coordinate them. Plus, they were flexible, for example, we changed the decor theme colours 3 days before the event and the decorator still delivered.
