Do You Think You Have What It Takes To Be The Next Supermodel? Joram Model Management Is Looking For You

Arguably the most sought after modelling agency in East Africa, Joram Model Management is organising the biggest model search in Kampala this month. The search which is in partnership with the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards and Satisfashion UG is looking out for raw talent in Uganda and the East African region.

In a conversation with Satisfashion UG, Joram Muzira, the proprietor of the agency highlighted the hunger for black models on the global runways being one of the reasons he chose to open his doors to new talent.

“Black models are having their moment. This is our time to shine and takeover,” he shared. “Just the other day, Valentino’s couture show had only black models. Tommy Hilfiger did the same for his Zendaya collection where only models of the colour walked the show.”

Brian of Ahumuza of Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards noted that “opportunities such as this one are fully aligned with our vision which is to put African fashion on the global stage,” he shared.

Muzira was excited to share that a number of supermodels under his belt will be part of the search team. Although he couldn’t divulge any more details on that. Confirming this is Aamito Lagum who flew into Kampala this week.

Joram Model Management is one the biggest supporters of Uganda’s budding modelling industry. In 2017 together with Aamito Lagum, the agency held the first model master class in Kampala where models were mentored by key industry professionals.

The model search is slated to hold on Sunday 31^st March, 2019 at Garden City Kampala Uganda from 9am to 4pm.

Eligible models should be of

– All races| ethnicities
– 15- 22years old
– Females not below 5’9″
– Males not below 6″
– Not signed to any agency.
– No Previous experience is needed. Absolutely free so no payment at all to come through for the scouting.
– All entrants to come dressed in Black (Fitted Jean’s or Pants and fitted tank top or tshirt)
– Clean Hair and Face- Females please come with your natural hair (No weaves or extensions on and NO MAKEUP )
– Have an amazing Personality
