Bey and Her Husband Light Up The New Tiffany’s Campaign

By  |

The Tiffany Yellow Diamond is the largest yellow diamonds to be discovered, and is the jewelry company’s most prized jewel. Now, Beyoncé joined less than a handful of people who have worn it. She follows icons like Lady Gaga (in 2019), Audrey Hepburn (in 1961) and Mary Whitehouse (in 1957).

It has taken 144 years since the stone was “discovered” in Kimberly, South Africa before a black woman could wear it, but aside from the murky history of the diamond and the racism that blatantly stares us in the face, Bey rocked the look.

She was styled in a look channeling the iconic Audrey Hepburn, which even Gaga did when her chance to wear it came up. The figure hugging black gown and hive up-do with a bold liner was unmistakable from Audrey’s look in “Breakfast At Tiffany’s”. She even pays homage by playing a version of Moon River on a piano in celebrated artist Jean-Michel Basquiat’s estate.
