Bad Black is Quietly Planning a ‘Very’ Fabulous Birthday Bash: What We Know So Far

By  |

Kampala has had a long string of uninteresting parties, with little or nothing to write home about. That’s why Bad Black is quietly plotting to change the game with a birthday bash like no other. The notorious socialite, who doubles as an ex-convict will be hosting her fans, followers and friends next Friday (5th July, 2019) to a party dubbed ‘Bad Black 30 and Thriving’ to hold at Kingdom Mall Kampala (10th floor). According to sources, for the night, the mall is set to be renamed to ‘Black Boulevard’.

Black is known for causing a stir, almost all the time. At her previous bash in 2011, she had an open bar and hosted almost Kampala’s entire list of socialites then. She turned up in a Lady Gaga inspired studded mini dress. The outfit was custom made by Sylvia Owori. All this was before she was convicted and sentenced to 4 years in jail on charges of fraud.

Flash forward to 2019, the renowned troublemaker is making 30 years, and the 30’s have no idea what she has up her sleeves. She has hired the tried and tested skills of Brian Ahumuza of Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards to organise and manage her 30th birthday bash. Ahumuza has brought on board, Anita Beryl of Beryl Qouture who has already custom created a stunning gown for her. Faith Imani of Imani makeup has also been brought in to give the socialite a face beat she deserves.

The dress theme of the event is obviously All Black for the gents and a combination of ‘shimmer, sparkles and glitter from crystals, diamonds and gold’ for the ladies. According to sources close to the team putting the event together, “anyone that will violate this dress code will be bounced immediately.” Apparently, Bad Black sent this memo to them herself.

We know, there’s going to be lots of drama at the bash, that’s why we’re waiting with bated breath to see everything as it unfolds.
