Azawi Wants Us to Believe That This is ‘Our Year’ – Or Rather ‘Her Year’!

Azawi, the queen of ‘Good Vibes’ is back! The ‘Quinamino’ star returns with yet another groovy track, which most definitely is ‘perfectly crafted’ to become one of your favourite songs. The 24-year-old star, who chooses not to box herself in a specific genre, has today released ‘My Year’. The title, lyrics and sound of this track couldn’t have come at a better time.

We’re trudging through a pandemic that stole a whole year (and lots of opportunities) away from us. In the song, the singer convinces us that this is ‘our year’. “Let me tell you something about this year. This year must be better than last year, ” she croons. Whether this is about us or her, one thing we’re sure of is, this is Azawi’s year.

The song was produced by Michael “Fingaz” Mugisha, mixed and mastered by Daniel “MZK4” Levy Lwanga. The music video was directed by Zambian video director Kenny Roc Mumba.
