As She Exits KCCA, Here is An Ode To Jennifer Musisi’s Inimitable Style

By  |

Jennifer Musisi announced her resignation from her position as Executive Director of KCCA last evening, something that sent shock waves across the city. During her 7-year tenure at the helm of the capital of Uganda we have seen tremendous growth, with Kampala gaining global recognition as one of the fastest growing cities in the world.

Away from her work, Musisi has also been loved and admired for her impeccable style. In a country where old boring skirt suits is the staple dress code for most female government executives, she stood out with her bold fashion choices and her always immaculately coiffed hair. She has never been reserved when it comes to dressing her enviable curvy frame. This unique style went on to earn her an ASFA award.

For the 2015 edition of Kampala City Festival, she offered a budding fashion student an opportunity to design a custom outfit for her to wear at the event. The student’s career was boosted almost immediately. She’s now an established designer and presented her latest collection at the finale of Miss Tourism last weekend.

See some of her memorable style moments

She loved her accessories, and was never afraid to show it

A bow on a formal pantsuit!

This is not a jumpsuit by the way! But even if it was..

Her busuuti game was on another level, and she somehow chose to wear this traditional dress every time she was abroad to receive her numerous awards

Her beauty game was even better, her hairstyles changed almost all the time giving us something new to look at every time she made a public appearance

Thanks to her love for figure-hugging pencil dresses, her team at KCCA always took style lessons

At the 2017 Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards she turned heads in this dramatic red mermaid gown. No wonder there was only one person most befitting to be her date, HRH The Nabagereka of Buganda
