Aging Skin Already? Try Vitamin C

By  |

When they tell us to eat our fruits and veggies we never want to, not knowing that in there is the key to ageless beauty. Vitamin C, a component of these foods has so many properties that keep you looking 25 long after you passed the mark.

For starters Vitamin C is safe for most skin types, which means whether you have super oily skin or sensitive skin, this will help you with your issues. It also hydrates the skin by allowing it to retain moisture from water.

When it comes to skin tone, Vitamin C is notorious for brightening skin, and being able to even out issues. If you had dealt with acne in the past and it left you with scars, or maybe you have redness in the skin, or even uneven dark spots (hyper-pigmentation) Vitamin C has the properties that can even it all out and have you looking like you never had an issue to begin with.

Now to the proper anti aging aspects of the Vitamin. It helps boost collagen production. Collagen is a protein which occurs naturally and is responsible for firmness of the skin, as you grow older it depletes in your body, so you might have to give it a boost. Vitamin C does this. Even those who haven’t aged yet may find fine lines around the eyes, where the skin is more delicate. Vitamin C will help to plump this area leaving your skin as new as a baby’s. Did we mention it encourages new skin cells to grow? Well Vitamin C does this

It also is great to use in addition to your sun screen, it slows down the effects of UV rays by regenerating new skin cells and speeding up the healing process.

There are a number of products on the market that contain Vitamin C, if you go to a reputable skin care supplier they most likely have a serum with Vitamin C in it. If you don’t want to buy more products, then don’t worry, we are going to circle back to my first statement. Vitamin C can be found in a number of healthy (and yummy) foods like:

  • Citrus fruits such as oranges, lemons, and guava.
  • Veggies like broccoli, cauliflower and
  • Other fruits like paw-paw and strawberries are also rich in the vitamin.

If you are still stubborn and don’t want to eat for your skin, worry not, you can even buy some yummy supplement tablets and have your daily dose of the anti aging vitamin. Let people in your life wonder how you are 56 but looking like you are still 25. They may not know but we do!
