Finally, Here’s The Most Fashionable Video Of The Year!

This is one of those video moments where you have to stop and stare. Pinch yourself to really confirm whether it is really happening, then hit replay. I’m talking about Sunday, a collaboration between DJ duo Slick Stuart and Dj Roja along side Tonix.

This is a mashup between a so African look with a hint of a Hindu vibe to it. The set designers and stylists went all in on this one, dressing up the main vixen in gold chains and very little else, yet kept her looking tasteful. The burst of colour where Slick Stuart and Tonix were was reminiscent of a Nigerian/Rwandan/Ghanaian collage.

The creatives behind this did a phenomenal job of bringing out the message in the song, which by the way is all about how this guy thinks God created the lady on a Sunday. Kudos to the fact that the object of his affection was the blackest black there could be (granted it might be a ton of makeup), it is wonderful to see a wholehearted celebration of our beautiful black women.
