A ‘Welcome to Wakanda’ Fashion Presentation Happened During NYFW. See All Looks Here

Just to bring ‘us’ up to speed on what it means to put together clothing inspired by ‘Black Panther’, Marvel Studios brought together a diverse group of designers during New York Fashion Week for a ‘Welcome to Wakanda’ fashion presentation. CHROMAT, Cushnie et Ochs, Fear of God, Ikiré Jones, LaQuan Smith, Sophie Theallet, and Tome each designed Wakanda-inspired looks to celebrate the upcoming wide release of the Black Panther film. Each of the bespoke looks were set to be auctioned off at CharityBuzz.com in support of the Save the Children international humanitarian organization.

After the underwhelming fashion choices made by many at the Kampala premiere of the movie this week, we can all agree that this presentation could be of so much help to many Ugandans.
