In 1907, while on safari in Uganda, Winston Churchill was captivated by the country’s beauty. In his book My African Journey (1908), he wrote:

“For magnificence, for variety of form and color, for the profusion of brilliant life — bird, insect, reptile, beast — and for vast scale, Uganda is truly ‘the Pearl of Africa.’”

Fast forward to today, and the colors of Black, Yellow, and Red have never looked more vibrant. Ugandan creatives across the world blended patriotism with artistry to celebrate the country’s 62nd Independence Day in style.
