MC Kats, Azawi, Abryanz and More Honoured at 2021 Buzz Teenz Awards: Full List of Winners

The 15^th edition of the Buzz Teenz Awards held last evening with a small event, which streamed live on TV. The event was hosted by TV stars Mc Ollo and Daddy Simz. Guests included winners, nominees and several teen celebrities including; Solomon Kampala and Shalom Namagembe), Anita Kalule, Nyangoma of Ghetto Kids and E- Iconz from South Africa. The event was packed with star performances from Fik Fameica, Liam Voice, An Known, Pia Pounds, Aroma, Zex Bilangi Langi and Vinka.

Azawi, the greatest winner of the day, walked away with 5 accolades including Artist of the Year and Female Artist of the Year.

MC Kats was honoured for his stance against HIV and the awareness he’s creating. “Don’t give up, take your meds and keep your dreams alive,” the TV star offered in his acceptance speech. Kats has been a constant fixture on all teen related activities over the 15 years, during which he has mentored and inspired a lot of young mcees.

Abryanz was honoured for his outstanding entrepreneurial and creative efforts and for singlehandedly giving Ugandan fashion a facelift. Brian Ahumuza’s story has inspired so many young people to go after their dreams too.

“So if you are a young person out there, with a dream that society does not appreciate, this award is for you, remember that a young boy from Masindi today was accredited with the heaviest award, not because he is a doctor, lawyer or bank manager but a designer who has stayed true to himself, his passion and his legacy. I can’t say its easy, but its surely possible so go and chase your dreams unapologetically,” he shared in his speech.
