Every fashion season brings a fresh gang of new models to our fold. We are always excited about new faces, because with them comes new energy, an arresting allure of novelty that makes us want to see them more. This season was no different, after the shows last month, coming up with our cast for this collections issue was super easy.

Meet the new models to watch, in the standout looks of the season.

Mario:

Name: Mario Bol
Age: 19 years

What keeps you motivated? What keeps me going is that modeling is a dream to me and I just can’t settle till I achieve it.
Who/what inspired you to become a model? Models have a good sense of style, a positive attitude and ability to look good at times that really inspired me.
Where are you from? I am from South Sudan.

Victoria:

Name: Victoria Biong
Age: 20 years

What keeps you motivated? First I would say my positivity keeps me going. And my family really motivates me a lot.
Who/what inspired you to become a model? Naomi Campbell is a great inspiration to me and the fact the I love modeling absolutely inspired me into becoming a model.
Where are you from? I’m from South Sudan.

Cecilia:

Name: Cecilia Edoh
Age: 23
Agency: I am a Freelance model.
What keeps you motivated? What keeps me motivated is my passion for creating art and storytelling, through media, modeling, acting, writing, directing… any form that inspires me.
What inspired you to be be a model? What inspired me to become a model is my experience with acting (stage/film) and Tyra Banks. Growing up watching the TV – show America’s Next Top Model; I fell in love with fierce runways, designs and telling stories through pictures.
Where are you from?

I’m Swedish and Nigerian.

Prince:

Name: Prince Godfrey Mutebi
Age: 21 years

What keeps you motivated? First and foremost my uniqueness being a model with a different ability pushes me to do more than I can and I’m aiming for a star and secondly the love for fashion is another that shouldn’t be forgotten. I actually see myself somewhere moving international runways so I’m aiming to bring that dream into reality.

What inspired you to be be a model? Am actually inspired by a lot of models both of my kind like Saun Ross, Sanele Xaba and others like Hamid Onifande and Leon Dame. I look up to them and I know through my struggle and determination I will get there.
Where are you from? Uganda.

Ashanti:

Name: Ashanti Biong
Age: 20 years

What keeps you motivated? Honestly my family keeps me motivated and the fact that I want a better life a head of me I keep working everyday for a better life.
Who/what inspired you to model? My cousin inspired me and I always loved being in front of people and I really love clothes like so much
And I thought modeling would be my thing.
Where are you from? I’m from South Sudan.

Biar:

Name: Biar Kartel

What keeps you motivated? This industry it’s really changing my life and I want to achieve my goat.
Who/what inspired you to model? My friends are the one inspire me and I see am good at what am doing.

Ruth:

Name: Ruth Ishimwe
Age:25 years

Who/what inspired you to model? I love fashion and so I was inspired to become a model…it’s not about being beautiful but creating something interesting for people to look at and think about…one thing modelling taught me is that spotlight can change everything.

Where are you from? I’m Rwandese by tribe but grown up here.

Deborah:

Name: Deborah Akech
Age: 21 years

What keeps you motivated? What keeps me motivated, I want to change the world. I love modelling so much and it has been dream to be a model because I love being fashionable, and my height…
And also some of the traits that are important for working in modeling are good sense of style, adaptability, a positive attitude and also the ability to look good at all times. I think I’m a quick learner to outstanding facial projection and I really want to be successful in modeling as a promising career.
Where are you from? I am a Karamojong by origin but I stay in Kampala.
