This Eye Shadow Palette Inspired by The Ndebele People is All The Rage!
It’s called the Zulu Eye Shadow Palette and you have probably seen a lot of people wear eye shadow from this palette on Instagram. From Nikkie Tutorials to Jackie Aina , MakeupShayla, Nahya Glam, Imani Makeup and even Mona Faces, everyone uses this palette!
The popular Zulu eye shadow palette from Juvia’s place was inspired by the colorful lifestyle of the Ndebele people of South Africa. But that’s not the reason as why it’s popular, it has 9 different pigmented shadows that suit almost all skin tones.
If you love bright colors and bold makeup looks, this palette is for you. And, even if you’re not that much into bright colours, it’s dark brown shades will surely tickle your fancy.
When it comes to it’s packaging the Zulu Eye shadow palette is quite portable with ultra thin cardboard packaging. It’s that heavy to carry around.
One amazing thing about the back cover of this palette is the inscription written there :
“Art is life. The ambiance of the Zulu eyeshadow palette takes on a new character. It exemplifies the rich arts of the Ndebele people of South Africa, embodied with colourful symmetry and precision. A limitless expression of self through eccentric hues, earth tones and exotic metallic shades.”
Now lets get a closer look at the shadows in this palette . First things first, unlike other palettes, the Zulu palette shades don’t have specific names to them, so we’ll look at the shades arranged in rows.
The first row has three shades .
The first shade is a deep orange that feels pigmented and vibrant. You can use this shade to darken a shadow you’ve placed on your eyes already.
This brown shade tones down things a bit.
The next shade is a matte yellow, just to add a tiny bit of brightness to your look . The last shade in this row is a deep matte brown that has an earthly hue! Once in a while we need brown undertones , especially if you’re going in for a nude makeup look.
This second row has blues only,
The first shade is a creamy blue teal that blends way easily on the skin. The second shade is a metallic green shade that’s vibrant and is sure going to brighten your look in a good ” Zulu” way!
The third and last row has even brighter colours;
Every girl needs a little pink once in a while, a metallic pink to be exact. This one is unique because of the metallic look and the gold sheen it has. The second shade in this row is a hot matte pink that’s bold just like the shade, the matte purple ! Both shades are very pigmented which makes them great to wear.
Well, that’s a breakdown of all the shades in this palette. You can literally create any look you want with it, no wonder it’s such a huge makeup hit.
It is available at Beauty Corner Uganda Limited and Linton’s Beauty world at Acacia Mall!
Truly,
Humura Ruth
