5 Super Easy and Quick Home Remedies For Acne

By  |

Having acne-prone skin is pure trouble, especially if you’re like me and can’t resist the urge to attack pimples when they appear. Acne is a nightmare! It not only lowers your confidence levels, it goes ahead to make you very uncomfortable. In my pursuit of the perfect remedy for this, here are some tried and tested methods that worked for me. Sharing is caring!

Garlic: You read that right. Two or more nights before the day I want to go out, maybe for a dinner or a friend’s wedding, I crash a few cloves of garlic and smear on my face every night, then rinse off with warm water in the morning before taking a bath. You can choose to chop and swallow or chew some like medicine then brush your teeth before going to bed. Garlic also helps in curing a cold and weight loss.

Face massage: Buy your favorite face lotion or oil of your choice, apply it on your face after a bath, then massage it in with your fingertips for about 5 minutes. The mistake we usually make here is, we apply the oil and move on without massaging it in.

Lemon: I love taking lemon water every morning, for my weight loss program but after squeezing the lime juice out, I smear the inside of the lemon on my face then wash it off with warm water after 15 minutes. Be careful not to use it too often because it lightens the skin.

Rock salt: Drop the rock salt in a cup of water, let it dissolve. Wash your face with it after five minutes. Don’t leave it on for long, and use it for like three times a week.

Water: Nope. I can’t leave this one out. Take as much water as you can. Doctor’s recommendation is eight glasses a day but no one ever overdosed on water.

Best of luck, beauties!
