5 Rwandan women who have shaped the face of fashion in Uganda

The most popular night Rwanda-Uganda Night is on tomorrow and will obviously be graced by all the style stars in Kampala. Many of you will be celebrating beauty since Rwanda has some of the finest women on earth (proven fact) while Satisfashion UG will be celebrating fashion.

This will be a celebration of the love, humility and unity people from Rwanda have shared with us for all the years they’ve lived  here. They’ve become apart of us and there’s just no better way we can return the favor. Let us all be at Venom tomorrow evening and be apart of this event.

Satisfashion UG is therefore celebrating their contribution to fashion. We have five Rwandan women who have taken center stage in fashion in Uganda. They are style icons who have shaped the image of how people view fashion in Uganda.

1. Tracy Bora

She’s as glamorous as she’s sassy. She’s a trend setter who embodies the truly definition of a style icon. I guess fashion is the only language she understands. She will be at the Rwanda – Uganda night tomorrow. That will mean that we already have the name of the best dressed guest.

2. Karitas Karisimbi

Karitas has been in the spotlight for as long as I remember. She’s a re known TV and radio personality. Her stint on WBS’ lifestyle show Show Time magazine is by far the best time of TV in Uganda. Show Time Magazine was the most popular TV show then thanks to her clever cocktail of fashion and everything lifestyle. Thanks to her many public figures began using fashion as away to build their influence. What she wore on TV is what everyone wanted to be seen wearing. She now juggles between being a radio presenter and motherhood.

3. Sheila Gashumba

Many people are disturbed by the fact that Sheila’s name always appears on the list of fashion icons in Uganda. She has built an enviable following online thanks to her fashion. She was one of the nominees in the category of Best dressed women in the recently concluded fashion awards. Her style is as daring as it is unpredictable.  She’s one of the few Ugandan girls who support Ugandan fashion designers. She’s the organizer of the Rwanda – Uganda which will be on tomorrow night.

4. Natasha Sinayobye

This is one of the most beautiful women in the country (no doubt). She’s very stylish. We definitely put her on this list because she looks good in whatever she sets out to wear. There’s no doubt about that.

5. Judith Heard

She’s one of Kampala’s most stylish women. She still makes us want to think she will model again because of her unique body features. Her credit as a model includes a cover of African Woman magazine and a number of runway shows. She worked with Sylvia Owori before she settled down and got married to Dr. Alex Heard. She’s now a style icon who always dresses to the nines. The lanky beauty is also a proprietor of a fashion label based in the UK.

It will be the Rwanda-Uganda night and also a fashion night because almost all Rwandan women are stylish. See you at Venom tomorrow night.
