5 bizarre reasons girls are pouting in their photos

This selfie obsession has brought more harm than good. From nude selfies to disturbing poses all in the name of striking the perfect pose. However none of them is as disturbing as this lip compressing syndrome called pouting.

It seems to be the most photogenic of poses lately thanks to the reasons laid out below. Shockingly men are slowly buying into this as well. I’m sure you’ve seen one or two men  squeezing their lips like they are gasping for air just so they strike a good pose.

This doesn’t take away the fact that some people look good when they pout. However before you go on a lip compressing rampage, first find out if you look good when you do it.  Do you even know why you are doing it?

Here are five reasons why girls are pouting a lot lately.

1. Many girls think it’s fashionable to channel fish in photos. I mean every fashion forward woman in the world has done it. Every fashion star  on Instagram pouts in almost all their photos so why not! I doubt fashion has anything to do with this madness though.

2. There’s something sexual about big elaborated lips. It is said that when women are sexually aroused, their lips tend to fatten. So girls pout to connect with their sexuality. Now you know.

3. Smiling makes people fat. I don’t know how true this is because I smile in all my photos and never do I look fat. Pouting has now replaced the legendary smile. I really don’t find this reason convincing.

4. Everyone is pouting. Just check your Facebook or Instagram  news feed right now and see if you won’t find ten of your friends punishing their lips in pursuit of a perfect pout.

5. This is the main reason why girls pout. They have absolutely no idea why. What prompts them to go on a lip compressing rampage is only known by the gods. Majority of the girls we talked to had no idea.

Maybe you have a more convincing reason, those above are the reasons we got from the many girls we talked to.
