Bright Eye Shadows: They’re back! For work, line your lid with a striking color and nude lip, but go all out on the weekend with a full sweep across your eyes. Our favorite colors: hot pink, burnt oranges, turquoise blues and rich metallics.

Purple Lipstick: Ditch the red, pinks and nudes and get sassy with a lavender purple. This color happens to look good on all complexions of Black women and it looks best in a matte finish. But if you do go glossy, rock with a single, thin liquid lined eye, two coats of mascara and a sheer blush. Let the lips do the talking!

Shimmery, Shimmery Eyes: Most women run from this trend from the fear of looking like a tween. But the trick is to choose the right base shades, like golds, mauves and pinks. Dab on a good primer to keep the fine glitter from creasing.

The Coral Face: All coral everything! Coral eyes, coral cheeks and coral lips! It’s a staple color that you can wear out at night, on a date, to the office and around running errands, and you won’t look crazy. This color is the perfect balance between making a statement and being a little subtle.

Bold Pink Cheeks: It may sound crazy, but the deeper your complexion, the brighter you should go. Have fun with blush! Pair with a sexy gloss and cat eyes, and I swear everyone will shoot a compliment your way.

Thick Eyebrows: They scream model chic when groomed right. Fill your brows in with a perfecting kit and shape with tweezers. Full brows look so amazing with hair pulled back, off the face or wild, thick manes.

Funky Nail Art: Don’t be afraid to try something artistic on your nails. You don’t have to have your own personal nail artist to design you a one-of-a-kind creation. Nail polish strips do just the job for you, and they last pretty long.

Wear a Daring Neon Lip: If you have the confidence to wear this trend, you have the confidence to do anything in life. Keep the rest of your makeup simple and add a dab of moisturizer, since high-pigmented colors can be drying.
