By  |

It looks like Judith Heard isn’t done with the runway just yet! The 34-year-old star is set represent Uganda at the inaugural Miss Elite beauty pageant slated to hold in Egypt this December.

According to a press statement, she’s set to battle a line of 31 other contestants representing different countries. Amongst these countries; Morocco, Kenya, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Sweden, Finland, Greece, India, Colombia, Lebanon and many more.

“We grew up through rape and other social injustices in Uganda. This experience  inspired me to start an advocacy campaign called DAY ONE  https://dayoneug.com to combat rape and sexual assault in Uganda,” she says. “Due to our work and perseverance, we are inspiring people in Uganda and Africa at large to stand up and speak about it! I have been following the latest news concerning rape and sexual assault in Egypt, it is exemplary how the government and the people of Egypt are pushing to give justice to those victim.”

The pageantry world has for long been criticised for its ageism, this is probably going to be the first time that a 34-year-old is allowed the opportunity to compete with 20-year-olds. We most definitely shall be rallying behind her to bring this title home.
