Yemi Alade aka Mama Africa has been flying high with singles off her third studio album: Black Magic. “Bum Bum” has proven to be a massive hit and success having garnered 3 Million YouTube Views in the first 3 weeks of its release. It’s her biggest dance anthem yet and has sparked a viral dance with the ‘Bum Bum Challenge’ that has gone global. Through her label Effyzzie Music Group, she releases “Bum Bum” in East Africa, just ahead of her biggest European Tour to date – starting 14th April 2018.

Produced by V-Tek, “Bum Bum” perfectly fuses a catchy dancehall sound to afrobeat. The captivating music video shot and directed in Soweto, South Africa by leading cinematographer Sesan captures Yemi and her dance crew at their best. This is her second release in East Africa, a region she considers her second home and enjoys massive support from the fans.
In March, Yemi headlined in Nairobi at the March edition of Koroga Festival, impressively selling out to an audience of 20,000—a first for the mega-festival and Yemi’s first public concert in Kenya. Her upcoming European 15-state tour kicks off this April and will stop in Germany, UK, Finland, France, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Netherlands, and Belgium, plus more. Accompanied by the Oversabi Band, Yemi will make history by being the first African act from Africa to have such an extensive and self-organized European tour.
