Winnie Nwagi’s Hair Evolution Over The Years In Pictures

Famous for her soothing vocals and chart topping hits, Winnie Nwagi is a formidable pop star. However, over the years, it has become clear that she’s much more than a singer & performer. Her insatiable love for adventurous hairstyles and bold makeup has since turned her into a beauty star as well.

Since 2014 when she started her burgeoning career, the star has experimented with more hair looks than we can count. From long visibly faux extensions which were popular in 2014 to cutting all her hair off in 2019, here is her complete hair evolution.

Back in 2014, after she had just finished competing on Coca Cola Rated Next Singing Competition, it was all about weaves.

Weaves are stylish, if done well. They are also face framing which makes the wearer look chic and “sweet” .

I think that played a big part in making her the “lovely ” vocalist she soon became. By 2016, she had become even more confident as a singer, trying out mohawks and colorful wigs.

She generally went in for styles that were trendy. Around the time, many celebrities such as Irene Ntale, Cindy, Sheila Gashumba and more were doing these dyed mohawks.

2017 was about coloring hair for her. She was at the peak of her career and these colours were reflective of where she was as a person.

Mohawks were traded in for colorful weaves.

2018, towards the last quarter of the year, the old Winnie was back but with a modern stylish twist. Musically, she was done playing to the drums of the industry. She was churning out music she personally connected to it, rather than chart topping bangers.

She traded all the crazy styles for wigs. Wigs offer a myriad of options to change in just a second.

She also started wearing luscious human hair weaves. Her makeup was also switched up with the help of a slew of renowned makeup artists she collaborated with.

As opposed to 2014, when she used to do “wavy” weaves, this time she preferred curls. She also ventured into lobs that looked really great on her .

Fast forward to 2019, Nwagi is “extra comfortable” when it comes to her beauty and fashion choices. It’s clear that she’s at a point where she’s doing what the heck she wants. First, she chopped her hair!

This was a beautiful choice for her . She has an oval face which means she can literally look good with any hair style .

She still kept the hair cut “stylish ” with these shaved lines in it. She kept “sponging it” which gave her a street style vibe.

A few weeks later , she dyed this cut green!

A few days later, she had it dyed red!

Its a bold choice and Winnie knows how to wear it well!

By press time, Nwagi is still a red head!
