Natasha Nyonyozi was crowned Miss Uganda 2024/25 on Saturday, August 3, at a glamorous ceremony held at the Sheraton Hotel. The 23-year-old entrepreneur from Kabale district bested 27 other contestants to claim the coveted title.
Nyonyozi, a graduate in Accounting and Finance from Coventry University, impressed judges with her charisma, intelligence, and commitment to community service. Notably, her peers elected her president of the Miss Uganda class, a testament to her leadership qualities. She is also an entrepreneur, running an accessories boutique in Kisementi called Girl Hive, located at The Cube, Shop B20. The new queen enjoys travelling, reading, yoga, swimming, art & digital creating.
The newly crowned Miss Uganda expressed a deep passion for uplifting marginalized communities, particularly children with special needs. She has pledged to use her platform to advocate for teenage mothers, girls without access to education, and those lacking essential reproductive healthcare services.
The Miss Uganda pageant, a longstanding cultural and entertainment event, continues to be a platform for young women to showcase their talents and contribute to society. The 2024 finale was a star-studded affair, attended by prominent figures including the outgoing Miss Uganda, Hannah Karema Tumukunde, and international beauty queens.
Suraya Umeimah Bashuaeb and Joan Nabatanzi were named first and second runners-up, respectively.
