Allan Okello, born on July 4, 2000, is one of Uganda’s brightest football talents, a creative attacking midfielder whose rise has captured the hearts of fans across the country. His journey began at Kibuli Secondary School, where his skill and vision on the ball quickly set him apart. In 2017, while still a student, Okello made his senior debut for Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) and stunned the nation with a hat trick and an assist in a 7–0 win over Onduparaka FC. That debut turned him into an instant sensation and marked the start of his incredible football story. Over the next few seasons, he became a key figure at KCCA, helping the club to league success and earning attention from top teams like Mamelodi Sundowns, Ajax, and Al Ahly ,though he chose to stay in school before pursuing bigger moves.
In 2020, Okello took his talent beyond Uganda, signing with Algerian side Paradou AC in search of new challenges. Despite a promising start, his time in Algeria ended early, and he returned home in 2022 to rejoin KCCA on loan, where he quickly regained form and collected multiple Man of the Match awards. His next move shocked many, a switch to Vipers SC, KCCA’s fiercest rivals, in a high-profile deal that made headlines and proved his determination to keep growing, no matter the controversy.
On the international stage, Okello has proudly worn the Ugandan colors at every level, from the U20s and U23s to the senior national team, the Uganda Cranes.
