Which was your favorite magazine cover for 2013?

It’s sad that in Kampala, there is just no magazine title to we can call a fashion rag. It’s however not bad to enjoy what our friends from around the world are doing. Every year the American Association of Magazine Editors recognizes the best magazine titles and editors across America.

The internet has affected print magazines so badly that many of them pull out of the business each year. Therefore any magazine to stay afloat in this business, creativity has to be almost out of this world. The content, layout and cover must be able to captivate the readers and give the title an edge over others while on news stands.

A couple of magazine covers were nominated. I must admit that I don’t know why some appeared on the list because they look plain boring and ordinary. In any case these are Americans – what can I say?
