It’s a question that still lingers on everyone’s mind. What should men wear this year? It’s too early to predict or dictate what should be the trend of the year for men. However we talked to 3 style experts on what they feel should be worn by every trendy man this year.

Kim Swagga – Power stylist and avid fashionista

Fashion forward men should be embracing prints just like they did last year. It’s one style trend that will not go out of style just yet. Prints from bandana to African print and graphic designs still work. It’s important that this time the detail should be toned down. If you decide to wear a graphic shirt, match it with plain pants to have that clean cut look of sophistication.

It is still too early to dictate what men should be wearing this year. However prints are still on. From animal print to polka dots and African print. Anything still goes. The styling trend that is on though is taking these prints from just casual to formal. You can now rock your printed shirt and hit the office. That is if you match your outfit well. Get a printed shirt, match it with a jacket and matching pants. Don’t add a tie on it though. Throw some nice shoes onto the look. Fashion forward indeed!

This year men should adapt  a more laid back style sense. It is some kind of growth where a man has seen it all. The time for ‘swagg’ is long gone. Less color. Less detail. On the flip side, velvet and suede are taking over from leather. Pants in the velvet and suede material seem to be the hit fashion trend for 2014.
