We Met During Dance Rehearsals for a Church Concert – Joyfulness & Dapo

Joyfulness Idris, an entrepreneur & gospel music artist, and Dapo Idris, a businessman & music artist, tied the knot on 10th October, 2020 before holding a fabulous wedding bash at Dover Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria.

Their story  

We met during in church during rehearsals as we were preparing for a music concert. He was one of the dance coordinators. The chemistry was there almost immediately!  

We got engaged last year on 01/10/2019, which was also my birthday. I remember being so angry because, it looked like nothing special was happening for me that day. There was no party, there was no sign that he was taking me out for dinner, and so, I was giving him serious attitude. Little did I know that something huge was happening in the living room. It was such a beautiful proposal, I couldn’t hold back the tears of joy!

Planning the wedding 

It was a real rollercoaster! There were beautiful moments, and misunderstandings here and there, but alas, at the end we managed to pull through. Since I’m a fashion designer, I styled all my outfits. It was tasking but worth all the hustle! God be praised!
