Meet Gloria Nawanyaga, The HIV+ Miss Uganda Finalist Who Is Rising Above All Odds

Gloria Nawanyaga won Miss Rising Woman at the recently concluded Miss Uganda pageant. Her story is one that has inspired many people to know that having HIV does not mean it’s the end of the world. She speaks about being bullied as she grew up, with kids in her school calling her ‘Silimu’.

The law student is looking to help other people living with HIV to reduce the intensity of stigma they face and to empower them to make the most of their lives. She’s definitely our Woman Crush for that.
