Aketch Joy Winnie‘s Instagram isn’t all high fashion and catwalk struts, the stylish and knowledgeable fashion model uses her platform to tackle current cultural and social issues in the most sarcastic, and fun way possible, just last year a video of her digging up smartphones from the ground went viral gaining over 4+ Million views on Instagram alone and now the runway star is back with yet another shockingly brilliant piece of work that has left many talking in more ways than one.
In the video captioned “We hereby introduce what we wear in Africa! Leaves, leaves, and hides in cold seasons. Ladies and Gentlemen Planet Earth Couture SS infinity” Akech employs the help of some of her close family members and friends to make a makeshift fashion show featuring garments made out of leaves and plants but what makes the show interesting is how appealing the leaf placements and silhouettes are in the sustainable collection. The video has gotten a lot of positive responses from Aketch’s two hundred thousand plus followers with some calling the show innovative and a great way of exposing the need for eco-fashion while others praised the kids featured in the video calling them runway pros.
