Virgil Abloh’s Final Collection Debuts at Louis Vuitton F/W 2022 Show

A farewell collection

In a final farewell to departed creative director of Louis Vuitton, Virgil Abloh, the last collection he was working on got showcased at Paris Men’s Fashion Week. The collection was underway when the designer tragically succumbed to cancer at only 41.

The Fall/Winter collection featured lots of graphics as well as Virgil’s signature bright coloured monochrome looks. The designer has been revered for merging luxury and streetwear seamlessly, and this collection, simply named Louis Dreamhouse, expresses that. The emotional event had the same essence as an unofficial memorial for the savant, as his widow attended along with other famous friends like Victor Cruz, Naomi Campbell, Venus Williams, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian among others.

The music from the orchestra performed music by Tyler the Creator, and where the designer would come out at the end to take a bow, the Louis Vuitton team came in it’s entirety.

In addition, next week, 200 pairs of sneakers designed by Abloh are going to be auctioned off at Sotheby’s in New York, the proceeds going to his scholarship fund, which helps black students.
