If you’re an avid follower of this platform you know that we are big champions of Ugandan brands. Today, we shine our spotlight on Tsenke, a uniquely and unapologetically Ugandan accessories brand run by Makerere University’s Margaret Trowell School of Design alum Teddy Nabisenke.
The brand is out with a new collection aptly titled ‘Hope’, because what else do we need in our lives at the moment? According to Nabisenke, the collection showcases futuristic ideas in body adornment. “At Tsenke, we are always visually telling the story of how beautiful the human form is leveraging the power of design, shape, size plus unique local fabrics and materials,” Nabisenke offered. “This might not be the art you want, but it is what you deserve. The kind that restores hope in our hearts.”
The accompanying campaign, photographed by fashion photographer Banji Bagwana, highlights boldness, intricacy, beauty, power and an overdose of uniqueness.
