Twende Kazi kicked off on a star studded note

The reality TV show we’ve all been waiting for kicked off last evening with the unveiling of the 50 contestants who are going to travel through 13 countries in 2 continents in order to deliver a bottle of Tusker lager to Humphrey Kayange in London. The show is part of Kenya’s celebration of 50 years of independence.

The show that kicked off at exactly 8pm and hosted by our TPF6 darling Joey Muthengi unveiled 5o contestants, 25 of them being celebrities from across the region. The Kenyan celebrities included Nameless, Jaguar, rapper STL and Eve D’ Souza among others. Each of these was paired with a team mate to make 25 groups.

Our Ugandan celebrities appear on 6 teams and they are as follows

Team 4 – Radio & David Mwita

Team 5 – Weasel & Purity Wine

Team 7 – Navio & Anthony Gitonga

Team 12 – Maurice Kirya & David

Team 16 – Bebe Cool & Mercy Kuria

Team 17 – Flavia Tumusiime & Anthony Gitonga

Team 21 – Seanice Kacungira & George Karumbi

Will our teams beat those from Kenya? We really hope so. These contestants will only have clothes on their backs and depend on locals to locate their way through. The first team kicked off their journey last evening just after the unveiling.
