Trend Alert: A Bag So Tiny, It Can Barely Carry a Lipstick

Planning to update your handbag shelf this season? Look no further than these micro bags that are all the rage now. All through 2017 we saw large size totes and rucksacks shrink to tiny little ‘lunch boxes’ (that’s what my mates call them). What we didn’t know was that they were shrinking even more in 2018. The ‘it bag’ right now is so tiny, it can barely carry a lipstick. Yes, if you love to walk around with all your ‘girl essentials’ in your handbag, this trend is just about to pass you by.

This micro bag usually comes with a chain and can be worn as a cross-body bag, in the back or neck as jewellery.  Simply put, the bag is settling into its role of accessorizing your outfit as it literally can carry almost nothing. Well, who wouldn’t love that mystery? Why is she carrying that little ‘baby bag’? What is she carrying in it? That’s what makes this micro bag chic.

Of course the little bag suits the impossibly stylish woman. One who is going to give up on carrying anything, just to ‘slay’!

For the other category, that prefers to have a nice micro bag which can carry a little bit of something, there’s still an array of options for you. From tiny purses, mini totes and the ubiquitous ‘lunchbox’, you’re sure are sorted. However, you still have to give up some of your ‘girl essentials’ to carry these bags. Feel free to carry only your phone, wallet, pen, lipstick and whatever else that might fit in the little space you’ll have left in the bag. It goes without saying, minimalism has never been so hot albeit painful!
