How they met

I was in my Senior four vacation when Tonny and I met. We met at a friend’s birthday party. We instantly connected as friends, it was almost impossible for this not to happen. He’s such a gentleman. We kept in touch since that day. I have so much respect for my man – he was patient for so many years waiting for me. He kept in touch, and never gave up on our relationship, until I finished school. It was my parent’s wish that I get married or get engaged only after completing my degree.

As soon as I finished writing my last exam at uni, he kindly requested to visit my parents officially. I didn’t hesistate to say “Yes”.

Planning our Kukyala

It was exciting and hectic at the same time, especially when it came to traveling to my maternal home in Moyo, WestNile, which took us about 10 hours to get to since I was traveling with the Décor team. While preparing for our function, we didn’t have any meetings, often held to prepare and contribute funds.  The money was there and the only thing was for me to prepare for the D-day.

I also remember meeting up with my best friend, Lydia a decorator and went around town in search of what we needed both with the décor, clothing, and photography. The whole experience was really fun. I must say, however just like any function, it was a bit hectic too.
