This Campaign Stars Women of All Sizes and It’s Totally Unretouched

The Campaign of Your Dreams is here

The campaign of your dreams now exists. Missguided’s new #MakeYourMark campaign is here, and it stars eight women of all sizes, skin tones, and styles. Each model shares a quote sharing their favourite part of their body plus a video.

The creative manager of the brand Samantha Helligso, told The Daily Mail, “We’re on a mission to show our audience it’s okay to be yourself, embrace your ‘flaws,’ celebrate individuality, and not strive for what the world perceives as perfection. Because basically, it doesn’t exist. By showing imagery that’s real and authentic, we want to show it’s more than okay to be yourself. All you have is what you’ve got, so own it every day.”

#makeyourmark – meet tinar

Netsai Tinaresse Dandajena (but you can call her Tinar), doesn’t mess about. She is exactly what her Instagram handle describes – born in Africa and raised in the UK, she is proud of her heritage and is on a journey to inspire women around the world. If you have come across her Instagram, she has over ten thousand followers and each post is just an inspiring as the last. Powerful captions that have a strong sense of determination, gratitude and motivation – if you need a feel good moment, this is where you look.

“It’s important to teach young girls to love every part of themselves.”

Female empowerment is being able to look at another queen and see all the positive attributes they have.”

Tinar is officially a runner-up for the modelling competition Miss Curvaceous and she was recently interviewed by the BBC, where she spoke about how she began her modelling career and the reasons around wanting to inspire others. She is not just a curve body confidence activist; she speaks about what it’s like to be a black model in the British modelling industry, how the industry is changing to accept not just different body shapes and sizes, but also a wider and more inclusive range of skin tones. Slay queen.
