The New Internet Challenge That Is Making Girls Search Their Photo Archives
Us girls we love to get a new hairstyle once in a while, some of us once a week, but there is a new challenge that is putting our hairstyles to the test. We’re talking about the #dmxchallenge which comes from the song What These B*ches Want by rapper DMX. The song itself is 19 years old, having been released in 2000 featuring a bit where DMX talks about all the girls he has met and/or dated:
“There was Brenda, LaTisha, Linda, Felicia / Dawn, LeShaun, Ines, and Alicia / Teresa, Monica, Sharron, Nicki / Lisa, Veronica, Karen, Vicky / Cookie, well, I met her in a ice cream parlor / Tonya, Diane, Lori, and Carla / Marina, Selena, Katrina, Sabrina / About three Kims, LaToya, and Tina / Shelley, Bridget, Cathy, Rasheeda / Kelly, Nicole, Angel, Juanita / Stacy, Tracie, Rohna, and Ronda / Donna, Ulanda, Tawana, and Wanda.”
It started in the US social media with one girl putting together looks that showed she was a different person with every hairstyle. Well the trickiest part about the challenge is that DMX mentions 46 girls, so participants have gone into their archives to pull out 46 different to get down with this challenge. Some celebrities have gotten into it like Blac Chyna, and on our Ugandan internet, Nadia Matovu and Maritza are showing these girls how it is done.
The real question is, do you have 46 different hairstyles you can show off or it’s usually that puff?
