The Beauty Game at Miss Uganda 2019 Was No Game: 10 Looks We’re Obsessing Over
Style stars, celebrities and fashionistas alike came together on Friday to crown the new Miss Uganda, but they also had their own crowning moment. We don’t want to anticipate just how much makeup artists brought in that evening because most of the faces were slayed to the gawds! Not only makeup, but hair too was a moment guests did not take for granted and every sort of hairstyle was present and tried as well.
We’re taking a closer look at the best beauty looks of the night, shall we?
Sheila went with this bold look, the dark eye coupled with the red lip somehow worked when it shouldn’t have. Having intense eyes and a striking lip would many times be overwhelming, but not in this case.
Natasha Sinayobye went complete opposite everyone on the carpet. Her fresh face was an interesting take in a sea of foundations and lip pastes. The look worked best with her feathery dress, allowing it to shine but also adding to the playfulness of the ensemble.
Anitah Fabiola went soft glam with this look, pulling back her hair in a sleek bun and accentuating her features with the pink shadow and deeper pink glossy lip. #obsessed.
Joram’s look was all hair. The dreadlocks added an effortless pzazz to his shiny blazer to balance out the look a lot more.
Miss Deedan came through with the strong look. The pompadour hairstyle took it to Janelle Monae levels and coupled with the classic red lip, it worked. Paired with the striking green suit, this look was not easy to forget.
This lady had a lovely look with a seemingly simple base. The box braids were neatly styled and her makeup made her look sultry, like something from your dreams.
Former Miss Uganda Photogenic Sophie Amayo goth glam to the carpet with her purple lip and short dreadlocks. The drapey necklace tied the look together perfectly.
Model Chandia Dorothy came to serve face and nothing less! Her look was fierce, with the fiery red lip and the gold highlights.. it was a great idea to have soft curls around her face and the bob made her look even more chic.
Look, a Disney Princess! I totally love this look from the crown to the lip to the whimsical dress. She looked regal with her neat bun and tiara, and the classic cat eye with a nude lip worked well to emphasize her natural beauty and bring out the dress. Perfection.
Red on red should be too much, but it really isn’t. This lady’s two tone red lip blended well with the dress and made for a coherent look. It’s a good thing she went lighter around the eye, it made all the difference.
