Tesi Fashion School, a design institution founded by renowned couturier Fatumah Asha, put on its annual graduation show last Friday at the Golf Course Hotel in Kampala. Each of the 17 designers presented a 15-piece collection showcasing all they had learned during their 2-year stay in school.
The event was graced by Ms. Sylvia Damalie Owori, the Director of Operations at Operation Wealth Creation as the guest of honour. The fashion icon described the evening as “the best day in my life”, and got overwhelmed with emotions all through the show. She lauded Fatumah Asha for being generous with her knowledge and skills and challenged the rest of the fashion industry to do the same.
Present at the event to cheer the young designers on was a long list of celebrities who stepped out in their best fashion. From Anita Beryl, Lydia Jazmine, Bettinah Tianah, Tina Teise, Precious Remmie, Cathy Patra, and Miss Uganda to Abbas Kaijuka, Pia Pounds, and many more.
The event was hosted by Galaxy FM’s Prim Asiimwe and produced by Joram Model Management in partnership with Mella Events (decor), Pamela Musimenta (makeup), and Satisfashion UG.
